Gabi Ben-Dor
Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Beer-Sheva, Israel
Professor Gabi Ben-Dor has published more than 175 papers in scientific
journals, 125 of which directly relate to shock wave phenomena,
and nearly 45 chapters in collective volumes. Additionally, he has
presented over 225 papers in scientific conferences and symposia.
Professor Ben-Dor is also the author of Shock Wave Reflection
Phenomena (Springer Verlag, 1992). Over the last two decades
Professor Ben-Dor has held visiting professor positions at various
distinguished Universities and Research Institutes abroad. He received
his Ph.D. in 1971 from the Institute of Aerospace Studies at the
University of Toronto, Canada. Professor Ben-Dor is currently Dean
of the Faculty of Engineering Sciences at Ben-Gurion University
of the Negev, Israel.
Ozer Igra
Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Beer-Sheva, Israel
Professor Ozer Igra joined Ben-Gurion University of the Negev,
Israel, in 1971 and initiated shock wave research. Since then he
has published nearly 100 papers in reviewed scientific journals,
most of which directly relate to shock wave phenomena. He has presented
many papers in scientific conferences and symposia around the world.
Professor Igra is a member of the International Advisory Committee
of the International Symposium on Shock Waves and one of the editors
of Shock Waves, and international journal on shock waves, detonations,
and explosions. Professor Igra received his Ph.D. in 1971 from the
University of Toronto, Institute for Aerospace Studies, in Canada.
He is currently a member of the Department of Mechanical Engineering,
Ben Gurion University of the Negev, Israel.
Tov Elperin
Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Beer-Sheva, Israel
Professor Tov Elperin haspublished more than 120 papers on incompressible
and compressible multiphase flows. He has also presented more than
150 papers in international scientific conferences and symposia.
Professor Elperin received his Ph.D. in 1984 in Nuclear Engineering
from the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel. He is a member
of the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the Ben-Gurion University
of the Negev, Israel. Currently, Professor Elperin works in the
field of transport in compressible multiphase turbulent flows with
phase transitions and chemical reactions.
