Table 8 Notes : Miscellaneous Manufacturers

This table includes a number of airliners from different manufactures. They are mainly smaller (<100 seat) aircraft acting as regional feeder liners to the main hub airports.

The BAe RJ series has been developed from the original 146 four-engined short range feeder liner. The aircraft is produced in four sizes ranging from 70 to 116 passengers flying 1000 to 1500nm stages. The Canadian RJ series is a development of their business jet aircraft. It holds 50 passengers flying 1000 to 1500nm ranges. The Brazilian EMB145 is a new twin-engined (rear fuselage mounted) regional feeder liner capable of carrying 50 passenger over 900nm range. A derivative 37 seat variant was launched recently and Embraer is studying growth derivatives of the EMB145.

The original Fokker F28 aircraft forms the basis for the stretched and updated F70, 100, 130 series which carry 70 to 130 passenger over stages from 1000 to 2000nm. Following the collapse of Fokker in 1996, production has terminated and the F130 has been cancelled. Currently moves are underway to restart production under the name of Rekkof Restart.
