Rabbits are lagomorphs and have distinctive dental patterns. The rabbit dental formula is 2/1.0/0.3/2.3/3. The rabbit upper second incisor is a small peg tooth that is located directly behind the upper first incisor. The rabbit's teeth are open-rooted and continue to grow throughout the animal's lifetime.
