Sedimentary characteristics and stacking pattern of tidal sand-ridge sandstones. Sandstone intervals coarsen- and thicken-upward from a gradational basal contact with prodelta/shelf facies. Tops of the sandstone ridges exhibit well developed, small-scale trough cross-stratification, Lagunillas field, Maracaibo Basin, western Venezuela. After Maguregui and Tyler (1991).
