Author Bio

Boyun Guo is well known for his contributions to the energy industry in multiphase flow in pipe systems. He has 30 years of work experience in the oil and gas industry and academia. He holds a B.S. degree from Daqing Petroleum Institute of China, M.S. degree from Montana Tech of USA, and a Ph.D. degree from New Mexico Tech of USA, all in Petroleum Engineering. His relevant books include:

Dr. Guo also published over 30 technical articles in referred journals and over 40 technical papers in conference proceedings. For these and other contributions, he has received many awards including the prestigious SPE Southeastern Technical Award in Production Operations.

Gefei Liu, president of Pegasus Vertex, Inc., a drilling software company in Houston, received his BS degree in Modern Mechanics from the University of Science and Technology of China and an M.S. degree from the University of Texas at Austin. He has over 20 years of experiences in engineering consulting, software development for drilling and completion operations. Before forming Pegasus Vertex, Inc., he was senior research engineer with Maurer Engineering.
