About the Author

John Considine developed a postgraduate course of study in winemaking and viticulture for non-specialists.  He has worked in viticulture as a scientist, teacher and researcher, and practitioner throughout his career, and is currently a Senior Honorary Research Fellow for the School of Plant Biology at the University of Western Australia.

Elizabeth Frankish is a professional microbiologist who has served as the Laboratory Operations and Analytical Services Director and Senior Consultant Microbiologist for Silliker Microtech Pty Ltd, Silliker Australia. She is presently writing the guidelines for Food Safety Standards under a contract with the Department of Agriculture and Food WA.
