About the site

Failure analysis and its prevention is an important issue for all engineering structures. Materials failure in some industrial sectors such as oil, chemicals, aircraft, automotive, etc., can result in huge costs due to the industrial damage and possible environmental crisis. In some cases, it can also result in human loss. In our previous three published books for Elsevier [1-3], we covered a wide spectrum of materials failure analysis in different industrial sectors such as automotive, aerospace, power, concrete, chemical, oil and gas. New volumes of this handbook will focus on Electronic Industries, Textile Industries, and Construction Industries. It will discuss the most common cases of relative failures and their investigation, analysis and possible remedy in different industrial applications.
