About the Author
WILLIAM B. KRANTZ, PhD, PE, is Professor Emeritus and President’s Teaching Scholar at the University of Colorado and Professor Emeritus and Rieveschl Ohio Eminent Scholar at the University of Cincinnati. He also was the Isaac M. Meyer Chair Professor at the National University of Singapore. He currently is a Visiting Professor at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and Istanbul Technical University in Turkey. Dr. Krantz is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, American Institute of Chemical Engineers, and the American Society for Engineering Education. He was awarded Guggenheim, NSF-NATO, and three Fulbright-Hayes fellowships. He is the author of two books, co-author of three research monographs and more than 250 technical papers, and the co-inventor on 19 patents. His mentoring on public speaking and workshop on oral communication skills have helped his students win more than 50 awards in regional, national, and international technical papers competitions.
