appointment in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan,

Professor Osamu Tabata

Professor Osamu Tabata obtained his PhD from the Nagoya Institute
of Technology, Japan, in 1993. He spent a number of years at Toyota
Central R&D Labs., Inc.
and is currently a Professor in the Department of Microengineering, Kyoto University,
Japan. He is a member of the editorial board of the Journal
of Electromechanical Systems, Advanced Micro-and Nanosystems and
Sensor and Actuators. Professor Hans Zappe

Professor Hans Zappe received his BSc and MSc from the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology, USA in 1983 and his PhD from the University
of California at Berkeley, USA, in 1989. He is currently a Professor
in the Department of Microsystems Engineering at the University
of Freiburg, Germany, where he specializes in optical microsystems
for medicine and tunable micro-optics. |
